Corey Egan
Corey Egan’s jewelry is the beautiful result of her love of nature and fascination with texture – one she’s been nurturing since an early age.
When she was five, Corey began drawing, eventually transitioning into painting, carving and sculpting during her teen years and developing the skills that would translate into the wearable treasures she’s known for today.
After earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Metals from Wayne State University, Corey moved to San Francisco to study jewelry technology and instantly felt at home in the new city. After finishing her studies, Corey worked for a series of goldsmiths, galleries, and designers before branching off on her own and creating collections that highlight natural details like the slender veins in leaves and the sharp points of a spine.
Corey prides herself in knowing where her metals and embedded gems come from. “Whenever possible I use recycled precious metals and I buy stones from certified responsible vendors.”
Spending as much time as she does designing and forming her mini-sculptures, she always keeps in mind these pieces will be just as special to their wearers as they are to her when she finishes them.
